Brian Stephenson leads life science investment origination and evaluation at Capital IP. He has over 10 years of life science investment banking, management consulting, and product expertise.
Mr. Stephenson co-led the Corporate Finance practice in Consulting and raised capital for emerging life science companies in Investment Banking at Leerink Partners from 2011-2015. Prior to joining Leerink, Mr. Stephenson was at McKinsey & Company, where he worked as an advisor to royalty, venture capital, and private equity funds as part of the Healthcare and Corporate Finance practices. He also worked with leading life science firms in the United States, Europe, and Asia on a wide range of topics including business development & licensing, R&D strategy and operations, portfolio management, and product commercialization.
Mr. Stephenson received a PhD and MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he published over 10 peer-reviewed articles on computational chemistry and drug delivery as a Presidential Fellow, and earned a BS in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University.
